A Well Spent Hour for Traffic Generation

Monday, April 21st, 2008

Everyone would like to get more visitors to their websites, but accomplishing this task isn’t always the easiest thing to do. There are many ways to try and get traffic, but here’s one way that you may or may not have thought about doing.

I cannot claim credit for this one, that goes to the people over at this website. However, I did follow the steps that they recommend, and wallah! almost 2 weeks later I’m getting a steady supply of hits to my websites. Note that, I actually started receiving a flow of traffic after 2-3 days, but it seems to really kick in at about 2 weeks.

I have tried the method described in the past, but not in the “full scale” that they explain it. To be honest, I didn’t give this one much of a success rate before really implementing it. However, by utilizing it in the manner they state, it delivers a MUCH better response than how I experimented with it the first time around! (which was minimal).

It basically uses free ad boards (it’s NOT like those free “useless” FFA classified sites) & text ad traffic exchanges (it’s really not as bad or a time-waster as you think), implementing them into a collaborating force that absolutely will drive people to your website.

If you’ve used either of those methods before and they didn’t meet your expectations, you should give it another go, only use them the exact way that it is stated here. I initially thought the same as you are probably thinking right now, but… I figured ok, I’ll waste an hour & give it a try and see what happens. Hey, you’ve got to keep trying things to see what works and what doesn’t, you never know! Sometimes ANY visitors are better than NO visitors.

Now I give it a thumbs up! It’s delivering traffic to my sites, so for now, I’m happy.

Think about all the other tactics you’ve tried. Did they work? Did they bring you the results you want? Did they cost virtually nothing to put into action, other than a bit of your time?

I’ll gladly spend an hour putting something to the test to hopefully gain some good results. Wouldn’t you? If they don’t work, oh well, it’s only one hour. If they DO work though… :-)

I’m not going to re-explain everything they tell you, you can see the instructions here at their traffic system.  I think it was A Well Spent Hour for Traffic Generation.
Let me know what you think about it & after you start using it, tell me YOUR results!

You can employ website traffic tactics without spending a dime. However, knowing how is the real deal. Here’s the score:

Just make sure that the Internet business you are exchanging links with is relatively if not utterly related to your own business. And of course, don’t overkill as this might ban you from search engines.

2. Meet Meta Tags.  Another way of to acquire your desired traffic for your website is through having your Meta tags contain usually used keywords that target your business. Meta tags help search engines in describing your web page. If you’re quite adept with the HTML aspect of your web pages, manipulating your meta tags would be a breeze.

3. Keyword-rich AND sensible content.  Writing or acquiring articles that provide solid information regarding your business is one of the best ways. Making use of free keyword suggestion tools will help you on which keyword or phrases to work on to better lead more traffic to your website. Making these write-ups very readable and genuinely informative will make you many repeat visitors to subsequently become repeat clients.
Submitting these articles to various article directory listings will provide more visibility for your business as long as you keep your resource box in tact to create for yourself numerous back links.
These methods, if employed properly, will not only make your web site popular but will make you achieve your most desirable result - higher conversion rate.

9 ways to get repeat Website Traffic

Tuesday, February 19th, 2008

1. Update the pages on your website frequently. Stagnant sites are dropped by some search engines. You can even put a date counter on the page to show when it was last updated.

2. Offer additional value on your website. For affiliates and partners you can place links to their sites and products and ask them to do the same for you. You can also advertise their books or videos, if these products relate to your industry and are not in competition with your own product.

3. You can allow customers to ‘opt in’ to get discounts and special offers. Place a link on your site to invite customers to ‘opt in’ to get a monthly newsletter or valuable coupons.

4. Add a link to your primary page with a script ‘Book Mark or Add this site to your Favorites’.

5. Add a link ‘Recommend this site to a Friend’ so that the visitor can email your website link, with a prewritten title, “Thought you might be interested in this”, just by clicking on it.

6. Brand your website so that visitors always know they are on your site. Use consistent colors, logos and slogans and always provide a ‘Contact Us’ link on each page.

7. Create an ‘Our Policies’ page that clearly defines your philosophy and principles in dealing with your customers. Also post your privacy policy as well so that clients know they are secure when they visit your website.

8. Create a FAQ page which addresses most of the doubts and clarifications about your product or your company that are likely to be asked. This helps to resolve most of the customers doubts in their first visit to your website.

8. Ensure that each page on your website has appropriate titles and keywords so that your customer can find their way back to your site if they lose the book mark.

9. Never spam a client, who has opted for newsletters, with unsolicited emails. Later if they decide they want to ‘opt out’ of the mailings, be sure you honor their request and take them off the mailing list. They may still come back if they like your products. But they will certainly not come back if you continue to flood their email box with mails they no longer wish to receive.

5 Easy Ways to get Website Traffic

Tuesday, February 19th, 2008

There is one hard and fast rule in generating income for your website: A steady flow of website traffic. If no one goes to your site, it hardly bares a chance of generating an income. Many sites have tried and failed in doing so, and these results to the sites demise. It takes money to maintain an income generating site; it also takes money to make money.

BUT, it doesn’t take a whole caboodle of cash to generate website traffic for your site.

Ever wonder how does big hit sites drive traffic top their site? Most of them are spending tons of money to drive the traffic to their sites, investing in many advertising campaigns and different forms of marketing schemes and gimmickries. This is all worthwhile because, well, they are what they are now, high earning, big hitting websites.

You don’t have to do this if you don’t really have their resources. There are many ways to generate low cost website traffic without having to spend what you don’t have or can’t afford. Many people have banked on high cost methods and have ended up losing their shirt over it.

Here I present to you 5 easy ways to get website traffic that could help your site a whole lot. Even if you only get a small percentage of successful visitors in to client ratio it still works especially if you get a high number of website traffic.

Exchange Links

This is a sure and proven method. Rarely would you see a site where there is no link to another site. Many webmasters are willing to exchange links with one another so that they could produce more public awareness about their sites. You’ll soon see and feel the sudden upsurge of the traffic coming in to your site from other sites.

A major prerequisite in exchanging links with other sites is having the same niche or content as the other site. They should share a common subject so that there is continuity in the providing of service and information to what interests your target traffic.

Exchanging links also boosts your chances of getting a high ranking in search engine results. It is common knowledge that search engines ranks high sites that have inbound and outbound theme-related links. With a good ranking position in the search engines, you will generate more traffic in your website without the high costs.

Traffic Exchange

This is like exchanging links but on a different higher level. This may cost a bit more than exchanging or trading links but could be made cheaper because you get to earn credits. You can use those credits when viewing others traffic, while you earn credits when someone views yours.

Traffic exchange services are the viewing of another’s site or page. This is done vice versa where a site can use your sites contents and so can you to his or her site. You both benefit from each others efforts to generate traffic. The other sites visitors can go to your pages and know more about your site as well as theirs. Once again the public awareness of your sites existence is boosted.

Write and Submit Articles

There are many e-zines and online encyclopedias in the internet which provides free space for articles to be submitted. If you want to save costs, you can do the articles yourself. There are many freelance writers who are willing to write for you for a small fee, but to save money, it is wise to do those articles yourself.

Write articles that are themed along with the niche of your site. Write something that you have expertise on so that when they read it, they can feel your knowledge about the subject and will be eager to go to your site. Write articles that produce tips and guidelines to the subject or niche your site has.

Include a resource box at the end of your article that can link them to your site. Write a little about yourself and your site. If you provide a light, information-laden and interesting article, they will go to your site for more.

Make a Newsletter.

This may sound like hard work because of all the articles you may need to use to build a newsletter but on the contrary, this is not so. There are many writers and sites that are willing to provide free articles as long as they can get their name in on your newsletter. This will also provide free advertising for them as well.

As your newsletter gets pass around, you can widen your public awareness and build an opt-in list that can regularly visit your site.

Join Online Communities and Forums

This only requires your time and nothing else. You can share your knowledge and expertise with many online communities as well as your website. You can get free advertising when you go to forums that have the same subject or niche with your site.

Share your two cents and let them see how knowledgeable you are with the subject. As you build your reputation, you also build the reputation of your site, making it a reputable and honest business that could be frequented and trusted by many people.

So there you go, 5 easy ways to get website traffic.  Now implement them.
